Carnegie, Elsternwick and Bentleigh

Enjoy a day of fun on Easter Day at Rippon Lea Estate. You’ll find everything from the Maker’s Market from Rose St on the main lawn, along with egg and spoon races, pony rides for kids and a special visit from the Easter Bunny!

Pack a picnic to enjoy on the gorgeous lawns and majestic gardens. Wander the Mansion with openings from 11am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 2.30pm. Entry to the Estate is by gold coin donation while pony rides are $10 per ride.

Macedon Ranges

Hop into the Easter long weekend at DV Cider, where you can enjoy family-friendly entertainment including live music and an Easter Egg Hunt. From soul food to good vibes, there’s plenty going on across the weekend but the Easter Egg Hunt goes down on Saturday.

Blackburn

Strap in for some Easter fun at Schwerkolt Cottage and Museum Complex. The Easter Egg Hunt goes down in the Cottage garden on Easter Saturday, with fun interactive hula hoop entertainment and activities in between.

Schwerkolt Cottage and Museum is also open Easter Sunday and Monday for families to come down and enjoy a relaxed family picnic. Kids can also come down to make paper crafts inside the Museum every Saturday and Sunday throughout the school holidays.

Camberwell

Enjoy an egg-stra special Easter celebration at Camberwell Junction, with everything from an Easter Egg Hunt to a visit from the Easter Bunny. You’ll catch the Easter Bunny hopping by Camberwell Junction to spread cheer, share sweet treats, and snap selfies. You can also take part in the much loved local annual tradition – the Great Camberwell Easter Hunt, with a $500 gift voucher up for grabs!

Peninsula

Back by popular demand is the Mornington Peninsula Easter Egg-Spress. The Easter Bunny is coming to visit every person on board as the train rolls along. Train rides commence from Moorooduc Station with the return train ride taking approximately one hour with activities including an Easter Egg Hunt.

Mount Waverley and Oakleigh

Get down to Oakleigh Library for some school holiday bunny business. Make a cute rabbit using colour craft materials supplied and enjoy a fun family activity for everyone.

Ascot Vale, Essendon and Keilor

Enjoy a family day of fun at the Ascot Vale Easter Family Fun Day with something for everyone. You’ll find face painting, Easter egg hunts, arts and crafts, balloon art, jumping castle, cookie decorating, Easter Bunny visits and a DJ tent with dancing games and prizes for kids

South Yarra, Carlton and the Inner North

Those living in the city can get down to the Great Museum Easter Egg Hunt at Melbourne Museum. Suitable for kids aged 4 to 12, tickets cost $16 (or $14 for member children). Kids get to create their own Easter basket and bunny ears before setting off on an adventure through the museum to crack the clues, find treasures and claim delicious choccy eggs along the way.

Coburg, Pascoe Vale and Heidelberg

Get on down to the Macleod Shopping Village for the ultimate Easter egg hunt in the north. Perfect for families, you’ll find everything from entertainment for kids to unique creations to discover at the Maker’s Market. It’s the perfect chance to find hidden treasures, support local artisans and enjoy an exciting community celebration.

Croydon

Join the Easter egg hunt along Croydon’s Main Street ahead of the main Easter holidays. Enjoy a fun-filled hunt for chocolate eggs hidden in various stores along Croydon’s Main Street. The event also includes a special visit from the Easter Bunny as well as free face painting and crafts.

Lilydale and Yarra Valley

Enjoy Easter Sunday at Balgownie Estate with a beautifully curated buffet breakfast featuring locally sourced dishes, freshly brewed coffee and an assortment of fruit juices. Adults will be welcomed with a complimentary mimosa, while children can enjoy a hot chocolate served with marshmallows along with a dedicated children’s menu. The annual Easter egg hunt always brings plenty of excitement, complete with a special visit from the Easter Bunny.
